RAWA Flash Fiction Prize 2024

We are pleased to announce RAWA’s inaugural prize for flash fiction, generously sponsored by Chris Mangels from Bayleys Akaroa.

Prizes will be awarded by RAWA Patron, Owen Marshall.

The RAWA Flash Fiction Prize is open to all registrants of RAWA 2024. The Flash Fiction Prize is $700, with a second prize of $300. In addition to the cash prize, and at the discretion of The Hagley Writers' Institute, the successful entries will be offered publication in Quick Brown Dog, the highly regarded journal of the Hagley Writers' Institute.

We are delighted to be collaborating with the Hagley Writers' Institute in the administration of the prizes. Director, Melanie Dixon will judge the competition.

RAWA’s patron, Owen Marshall, will present the prizes to the winners at the festival’s closing session on Sunday 3 November.
